About circle

Across emerging markets, people use the power of groups to save and build wealth. From diaspora group savings to more traditional community based savings groups, millions of people around the world rely on group savings as a fundamental part of their financial security. Traditional banking channels don’t fully serve this demand. Group savers are forced to either avoid banks entirely or open an account that is managed by only a few members, making collaboration among the group difficult and excluding many.

Circle is an innovative platform connecting those looking to save in emerging markets to banks, making it easy for people to save either as a group or individually, all with the security of the backing of a financial institution. Our product enables savers to set clear goals and make consistent deposits towards them, reminding users to make regular contributions, and using behavioral insights and dynamic content to encourage and assist them in their journey to reach their goals
